Apple's big Announcement
Apple today announced its next-generation 5G iPhone 12 lineup, featuring four distinct models: the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The 5G-enabled devices feature the most 5G bands of any smartphone and are powered by Apple's A14 Bionic processor.
The lineup also includes OLED displays, improved camera systems, and new MagSafe accessories for easy wireless charging. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini feature 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch displays, respectively, while the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max feature 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively. All four devices will be available in black, white, blue, green, and (PRODUCT)RED colors. Preorders will begin on Friday, October 16, with the devices officially launching on Friday, October 23.
The iPhone 12 lineup features 5G support, allowing for faster data speeds and improved connectivity. Additionally, the devices feature Apple's A14 Bionic processor, which is the fastest chip in a smartphone. The devices also feature OLED displays, offering improved contrast ratios and deeper black levels.
The camera systems have also been improved, with the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max featuring a triple-camera system with a wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto lens. Additionally, the devices feature improved Night Mode capabilities, as well as a new LiDAR scanner for improved augmented reality experiences.
Finally, the devices feature Apple's new MagSafe technology, which allows for easy wireless charging. The MagSafe charger attaches to the back of the device and delivers up to 15W of power. Additionally, Apple also announced a range of new MagSafe accessories, including cases, wallets, and chargers.
